Far behind enemy lines and deeply immersed in Bat countryâ„¢, Jim deftly navigated his way down the strip, headed for the Double Down Saloon. The searing heat and confusion of the day were soon to be a fond memory as we raced through intersections and cross streets with fiend-like abandon. With the falling of night, things were due to become much more verbose. I’ve never been able to explain myself properly in the noon day heat. I remember hearing him say something like “Steer for a minute, I’m feeling a bit light-headed!” as I leaned out the window and snapped this photo. It was at that very moment that the woman in the lane next to us, driving some inbred whale of a sedan, uttered something incomprehensible, as a small rodent like dog stood on her lap, yapping uncontrollably. I knew we had better get to the heart of this thing soon, because there was no turning back.
