Throughout the build
of the Tiki-Mac, a lot of tools were used to create it. Everything we
used to pull this project together is available at your local art and
hardware stores. Below is a short but detailed outline of everything
we used to construct the tiki mac
Paint
Sprayer

|
The
paint sprayer proved super handy during this mod. Hooked up to the
compressor, it was capable of a variable paint flow, air flow, and
spray pattern. This made it possible to get some super good results
when laying paint down on the plastic bits and the chassis. We picked
this little gem up from the Home Depot for about $60. |
The Air Compressor

|
The
compressor does exactlty what its name implies. it stores and compresses
air. This joker is your basic general purpose compressor. It has
multiple nozzles, powers the sprayer, and is variable in it's pressure.
It's safe to say, you couldnt spray without it! |
| The Heat Gun
|
As stated,
the paint we use is water based automotive paint. Therefore, it
needs to heat cure. So, what better than an all purpose heat gun.
This one is rather "No-frills" as it only has low, high,
and off settings. But, for $25 at The Home Depot, you really cant
go wrong. |
| The Magic Screwdriver
|
I could
go over every torx driver, screwdriver, wrench and spanner in my
toolbox in order to fill this section with tools. But it seems a
little excessive. This Magic Screwdriver is representative of all
the tools we used. I'll leave it to your imagination what else was
used. I'm sure that it should be fairly obvious. |
I could easily detail all the other stuff that we used, but at this
late moment I dont have photos of them all. Figure that I need to upload
pictures of my dremel and my glue gun. I'm sure you'll all forgive me
for my lack of totality.
