The Airport Light Station was built for Tom Bridge, formerly of MacSlash. We started with a custom acrylic box build for us by a colleague at the Smithsonian. We then used a power sander to frost the box and the pole. once sanded, the pole and box were sealed together with high grade epoxy. Next, the stand was filled with rocks, and the pole was place into the pot. At this point, everything was tested. With a working assembly, the unit had more lights, and Airport Express, and Diffusion plastics added. It was then sealed and tested as you can see in the final photos.
